Food of The KINGS
Dear Readers,
We all love food, be it of any type, shape, region, or even flavour. Today you can go to any part of the world and get introduced to a lot of mouth watering yet delightfully selectable food and cuisines. We all Indians love Indian Food, but did you know?? half of the cuisine of India has its influx from outside the country. It is indeed true.
India was ruled by a lot of foreign powers, but the biggest influence of food in India was established by the Moghul Raj. Yes indeed. The Biryani's , The Salan's, Qorma/Korma, tandoors, haleem were all introduced by the Moghul Empire in India. Who were the Moghuls? The were Half Turks and Half Mongolian. Ghengiz Khan as one might recollect was one very famous Mongolian King. The Moghul's went of Capturing a large part of India and so they used to bring their cooks with them, India has always been the King among all the countries boasting of various spices. Places like Rajashtan where the climate will actually fry you out, Land of the King or the Rajputs, Lucknow and Hyderabad the land of the Nawabs. There are influences of the Great Moghul rule. Hyderabad famous for its Kacche Gosht ki Biryani, haleem and Salans same as th cuisine of lucknow, the Kakori kebab, Gilouti kebab gilafi seekh taar kormas etc to name a few.
What exactly did King's exactly eat?
Every King or emperor had their own master Chefs to cook for them and their royal court. They used our spices to cook up their delicacy's . The Kings ate a lot of rich food, full of fats and nutrition. Meat was the preferred item on thier menu. Since the climates in Rajasthan and Hyderabad are absolutely Hot a lot of the Kings never showed much interest in Spicy food. Thier main aim was mostly for better immunity and a good sex life as the Kings had many wives. Hyderabadi cuisine or Andhra cuisine is he spiciest cuisine in India.The Mullygutwany Soup pronounced MULLIG Tanni which means chily/peppery water was inveted by akbars Master Chef as King Akbar was ailing.
